Description
Indiana's secretary of state is facing a lawsuit over a new law that prohibits college students from using their college IDs to vote.
The law was passed in this year's legislative session and would take effect on July 1.
The lawsuit was filed by two nonpartisan nonprofits that advocate for voter turnout and an IU student who is from out of state and who, until the passage of this new law, used their Indiana University student identification to vote.
