Description
Donna Powell describes her chocolate Labs as her "chick clique” - her girls, her family. When they went missing in March, she and her husband, Joe, spent a sleepless night searching the area near their Clinton County home.
"We got out a four-wheeler, got in the van, you know, driving, yelling," Donna recalled. "We were out all night long."
Days later, her dogs Ruby and Nellie were found shot and killed on private property in Boone County. This week, prosecutors formally charged 49-year-old Paul Ed Bowman and his son 21-year-old Brayden Bowman with multiple felonies, including killing a domestic animal and obstruction of justice.
In an exclusive interview with 13News, Donna recalled the heart-wrenching moment she learned what happened.
