Description
Fishers police officers arrested an Indianapolis man after he allegedly dug up and a grave and stole from it Monday evening.
Late in the evening on May 12, officers were conducting routine patrols near Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 9700 Allisonville Road.
Officers said they saw a suspicious car in the area. While nobody was in the car, police said officers saw a shotgun and paraphernalia.
While investigating the car, police said a man, later identified as 24-year-old Seth Davidson, showed up from the nearby wooded area, covered in dirt from head to toe, and told officers that that was his car.
Davidson allegedly told officers he worked at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens and had recently buried an urn that had a gold ring in it.
According to police, Davidson said he couldn't stop thinking about the ring, so he decided to dig it up to pawn it.
