Mass Ave in downtown Indy is full of modern art and tributes — and a new mural featuring a local WNBA superstar will soon be going up. The Indy Arts Council and the WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee just announced that a South Bend native was selected to create a new portrait mural of Tamika Catchings on Mass Ave this summer. Nate Baranowski was chosen out of 98 artists who submitted applications for the job. He is known for his work on large chalk murals, painted murals, acrylic on canvas and various forms of digital painting.
