The mother of an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer hopes a big donation to the department will help save lives during traumatic injuries.
The mother, Kris Hess, is also a shock trauma nurse at Eskenazi Hospital. She and her son, Isaac Hess, want all Indy police officers equipped to stop severe bleeding when they respond to calls for help.
