A 77-year-old Frankfort man has been detained after allegedly hitting and killing a 16-year-old boy in Elwood and driving off Saturday night. According to police, the teen was out running around 11:55 p.m. May 10 when he was hit near the intersection of 9th Street and Main Street in Elwood The teen was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood, where he died from his injuries.
