Police are investigating after a serious crash Saturday afternoon left several people injured on Indy's east side. According to a police report from the Beech Grove Police Department, a police chase began in the 500 block of North 17th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on May 10. Beech Grove Police Lt. David Parker said the chase was eventually terminated after officers determined the risk factor was too high. Following the chase's abandonment, the suspect continued into the area of East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive and South Sherman Drive, where they eventually struck another vehicle. Police say at least two suspects took off on foot from the white vehicle, but were later apprehended.
