Description
Whether you bike, walk or even drive between Fountain Square and downtown, you've surely noticed dozens of decorated water barriers.
They've only been up for about a month as part of the neighborhood’s tactical urbanism project and the neighbors say they're already making a difference."
“We've heard really only good things,” said Dakota Pawlicki, president of the Fountain Square Neighborhood Association. “We’re hearing a lot from neighbors, both in Fountain Square and Fletcher place, about just how excited they are about the project, being able to actually use this, you know, people walking dogs and being a lot more comfortable as they're getting between our two neighborhoods."
The neighborhood association secured the grants from the city of Indianapolis in December. It’s one of many “tactical urbanism” projects popping up all over the Circle City.
