The head of Indianapolis Public Schools is addressing concerns over a new law regarding funding for public and charter schools in Indiana.
The new law requires public schools to share funding with charter schools, a move that IPS parents and teachers have pushed back on.
Friday evening, IPS Supt. Dr. Aleesia Johnson said in a recorded statement provided to 13News by IPS that the district is planning public town halls this summer to discuss options to save money.
