Description
An investigation is underway after a Lawrence police officer shot a woman who pointed her gun at them Sunday night.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on April 27, officers responded to the 4600 block of North Richardt Avenue, near East 46th Street, on a report of a person armed with a gun, according to a spokesperson with the Lawrence Police Department.
Court documents say the incident started when Courtney Wilkins, from Indianapolis, was in her mother's neighbor's yard with a weed trimmer.
