Description
Our community has talked a lot about crashes involving walkers and cyclists in Indianapolis.
Just last year, there were 41 deaths and 832 injuries, according to Indy Pedestrian Safety Crisis.
But those statistics don't count "near-misses" — when a driver slams on the brakes or a walker jumps out of the way.
A new project from IndyGo aims to collect that data and use it to improve safety on the streets. Cameras will capture that risk on the road for IndyGo riders for a "near-miss analysis."
