As "deepfakes" become increasingly common online and tougher to detect, a Purdue University researcher says it's critical to develop reliable technology for the public to be able to identify them.
"Detectors are so very important," said Dr. Shu Hu, a Purdue University assistant professor of computer and information technology in Indianapolis.
