Description
The Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department has released bodycam video of the officer who was struck by a car during a police chase Saturday evening in Morgan County.
Mooresville Police Ofc. Chase Pitcock was deploying stop sticks at State Road 67 and Sunset Lane, near Brooklyn, Indiana, around 6:30 p.m. April 26 when he was struck by a suspect car, which drove around the officer's car.
Pitcock was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with non-life-threatening injuries, Mooresville PD said.
On Sunday, April 27, Mooresville Police Chief Kerry Buckner told 13News that Pitcock had been released from the hospital to continue his recovery at home. Buckner said Pitcock suffered a broken thumb and some sprains. Pitcock was on crutches but is expected to be OK, Buckner said.
