An investigation is underway after a Lawrence police officer shot a person with a gun Sunday night. According to a spokesperson with the Lawrence Police Department, shortly before 9 p.m. on April 27, officers responded to the 4600 block of North Richardt Avenue, near East 46th Street, on a report of a person armed with a gun. At some point during the police run, an officer-involved shooting occurred. Police have not shared additional information at this time about what led up to the shooting.
