Description
Hundreds of people walked with a purpose Friday at a Community Peace Walk at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Indianapolis.
The event is part of National Youth Violence Prevention Week. The goal was to promote unity and nonviolence.
"It definitely seems like it's getting worse, and things need to change," Michael Edington said.
Edington said it's urgent. He said he's tired of seeing people dying, especially kids.
Edington is a mentor with the nonprofit group NEW B.O.Y., an Indianapolis organization that works with "system-involved" youth. He said this is the perfect time to have an event like this.
