There's a push to bring new recruits to the law enforcement ranks in Indianapolis. It comes as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department faces a significant staffing shortage. The department currently has 1,441 officers, even though the city's budget calls for it to employ 1,743. That's a difference of more than 300 officers.
