Description
Colton George spent his 10th birthday in the hospital.
He was critically ill and in kidney failure after doctors said he contracted a severe form of E. coli.
Colton is one of dozens people linked to a multistate E. coli outbreak in November 2024. The Food and Drug Administration says the outbreak is tied to romaine lettuce and affected 89 people.
