First dates are nerve-wracking enough without having to face an ultimatum. In "Drop," widowed mother Violet (Meghann Fahy) goes on her first date in years to an upscale restaurant, where she meets Henry (Brandon Sklenar). Things seem to be going well until Violet starts getting anonymous messages on her phone, instructing her to kill Henry or a hooded figure will kill her young son and babysitting sister. The title refers to the AirDrop feature on Apple's iPhone, allowing users to share pictures and videos with other phones in proximity. Director Christopher Landon ("Happy Death Day," "Freaky") said he's a "huge fan" of both Fahy ("The White Lotus," "The Perfect Couple") and Sklenar ("1923," "It Ends with Us"). "I was obsessed with Meghann on Season 2 of 'The White Lotus,' and I knew that she was the perfect fit for this movie," Landon said. "Brandon is a phenomenal actor, and he brought this kind of wish fulfillment element to the date. It's like, every woman would want to be on a date with that guy."
