Two former Anderson day care workers are taking steps to avoid criminal conviction after they were accused of mistreating a child in the fall of 2024. Both women agreed to a pre-trial diversion program that could end with the criminal charges against them being dismissed. 13 Investigates found the agreement would require the women to complete a combined 40 hours of community service and would result in their records being wiped clean. The terms of the agreement do not stop the two women from working in child care. It also lays down the terms for the women to try and expunge the charges from their records.
