Description
The Lafayette Police Department is investigating an incident on Saturday involving a man and protesters.
According to a release from police, on April 5, officers responded to a disturbance during a protest organized by the "50501 Movement" in downtown Lafayette.
Police say during the protest, an adult male driver was attempting to make a turn at the intersection of North 3rd and Columbia streets, near the Tippecanoe County Courthouse, when protesters began to block the man's path in the roadway. That's when police say a verbal altercation broke out between the man and the protesters.
