It has been a busy start to the year for the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force. Since January, IMPD says the task force has made dozens of arrests and taken hundreds of illegal guns and machine gun conversion devices off the streets. "These are all very targeted investigations into violent criminals who are illegally carrying firearms throughout our city and central Indiana," IMPD Lt. Jered Hidlebaugh said. The task force touts the seizure of 115 illegal firearms and 167 machine gun conversion devices, guns used to commit violent crimes in Indianapolis.
