Police are investigating a shooting Friday evening near the scene of an earlier double shooting on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Officers were called to the scene of the shooting in the 1400 block of South Bancroft Street, near Emerson Avenue and Terrace Avenue, around 7:30 p.m. Friday. At the scene, they located an adult male outside of a vehicle who had apparently been shot. The shooting happened a little more than four hours after two people were shot near the 1300 block of Riley Place. The alleged suspect in that shooting was later shot and wounded by an IMPD officer after reportedly pointing a gun at the officer.
