Description
As President Trump tries to deflect attention from the "Signal" military plans group chat fiasco, the administration is touting the arrest of what the FBI calls "a top leader" of the MS-13 gang.
The president also continues to threaten allies with even higher tariffs as consumers brace for next week's implementation of increased taxes on imported goods.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health and Human Services now says it will cut 10,000 government employees.
Despite all this, calls for an investigation into why top U.S. officials were using that commercial messaging app to discuss secret military plans continue to grow.
NBC's Melanie Zanona reports from Washington.
