April is typically a wild weather month for Indiana and the central U.S., but we think there may be more rain and storms than normal this year. We are likely to be wetter than normal across Indiana. An active jet stream will bring multiple rounds of storms. Will those storms actually create tornadoes, hail, and wind that can reach the ground? We will have to see. A ending La Nina could bring an uptick in severe weather for the first half of spring. Flooding is a bigger threat for Indiana the second half of spring. We take a look at daylight changes for April, plus what a typical April brings.
