Description
Indiana lawmakers have weakened a bill meant to help victims of human trafficking.
House Bill 1416 passed the House earlier this session, but the Senate Courts and Criminal Justice committee made changes to their version.
Under the bill, authored by Rep. John Bartlett (D-District 95), businesses like gas station convenience stores would need to put posters up in their bathrooms with information on human trafficking and a crisis hotline number.
