How do we support those who protect us when the weight of their work follows them home?
That's the question being explored at the IMPD Training Academy, where chaplains from across the country are gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges officers face daily.
On Monday, 30 members of the International Conference of Police Chaplains had the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of IMPD officers. The visiting chaplains participated in a series of simulations designed to give them firsthand experience of the challenges officers face.
