Description
This week on Send the Love, we're putting the spotlight on Mary T. Klinker Veteran Resource Center: Restoring Hope.
It's inspired by Captain Mary Klinker, a Hoosier native who served as an Air Force nurse during the Vietnam War.
Klinker was part of a mission to evacuate thousands of orphans from Saigon. But her plane crashed, and Captain Klinker was one of 138 people who died.
Vietnam veteran and double amputee Jim Logsdon founded the nonprofit, with the mission to restore hope to veterans who've become lost in life. All of their events raise money to help veterans across Indiana.
