The Connersville community is mourning the loss of one of its own who was killed in an apartment fire on the city's north side Sunday. Just before 6:30 p.m. March 16, Connersville Fire Department crews responded to a report of a fire in the 3600 block of Western Avenue, The Crossings Apartment Complex on West 35th Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with flames showing from the first floor of the apartment and began to battle it and search for residents.
