Description
On Sunday, a historical marker was unveiled in Indianapolis for a man who was lynched over a century ago.
State and local leaders joined members of the Indiana Remembrance Coalition and the Equal Justice Initiative for the ceremony outside Municipal Gardens at Riverside Park.
For nearly a century, they say the lynching of George Tompkins was swept under the rug.
