Description
A Johnson County judge sentenced a man to 12 years in prison Friday, March 7 after stealing a truck and escaping prison.
Marion Jaynes, of Edinburgh, stole a prison truck and escaped from the Edinburgh Correctional Facility around 9 a.m. on Oct. 30, 2023. He drove to Indianapolis, where he was captured six hours later at a home on the west side in the 4400 block of West Vermont Street, near Holt and Rockville roads.
The Edinburgh Correctional Facility is a minimum security facility located on the grounds of Camp Atterbury with work crews who work in multiple areas.
