A powerful EF-2 tornado tore through parts of Central Florida on Monday, damaging several homes in its path, the National Weather Service confirmed. Officials said the tornado touched down around 9:35 a.m. in Lake Mary with winds up to 120 mph. At 300 yards wide, the tornado traveled about four miles, knocking over trees, ripping off roof shingles and damaging homes.
