The United States Secret Service shot an adult male Sunday, March 9 following an "armed confrontation" with law enforcement in Washington D.C., according to the agency. Washington D.C. police had reported a “suicidal individual” possibly traveling to D.C. from Indiana. Around midnight, Secret Service personnel found the individual's parked vehicle near 17th and F streets NW and saw a person on foot who matched the description, the agency said. The Secret Service confirmed to NBC News that the suspect was identified as 27-year-old Andrew Dawson, from North Manchester, Indiana.
