Description
A former IMPD officer currently charged with voyeurism in Indianapolis has been arrested again for the same crime, this time in Hancock County.
Hancock County Sheriff Brad Burkhart said Shane Decker was arrested Friday, March 7 on a preliminary charge of voyeurism. He was reportedly released that same day after posting a $1,000 cash bond.
His pretrial hearing is scheduled for May 1 at 9 a.m. in Hancock County Superior Court.
Prosecutors say the charge stems from new evidence dating back to October 2018.
Regarding his Marion County arrest, court documents say Decker allegedly recorded sexual encounters with women without their permission using a department-issued bodycam. In at least one video, Decker is apparently on duty and asks the woman to listen for his radio number in case he gets a run.
