Description
More than a decade before author George R. R. Martin wrote "A Game of Thrones" – which was later adapted into the Emmy-winning HBO TV series – he wrote a short story called "In the Lost Lands."
Now being adapted into a feature-length film, "In the Lost Lands" follows a witch (Milla Jovovich) who hires a hunter (Dave Bautista) to travel with her through the wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a werewolf and magical power.
"It was brought to me by our producing partner, Constantin Werner. He had optioned the original story from George, and of course, I was super excited. I was a huge George fan," said director Paul W.S. Anderson ("Resident Evil," "Mortal Kombat"), who is also married to Jovovich. "I was very excited to work on his characters and then also present a world that was a little like Westeros but was different to present something for an audience that was very, very cinematic, that was built for the big screen rather than the small screen."
"In the Lost Lands" is now in theaters.
