There is a new twist in the search for the next director of Indianapolis Animal Care Services.
Mayor Joe Hogsett originally selected Kelly Diamond to lead the agency, but is now pulling the nomination after weeks of pushback.
All of it unfolded during Monday night’s City-County Council meeting.
In front of a packed room of animal advocates, the council voted to table a proposal that would approve Diamond’s nomination.
