Description
Indianapolis-based Disciples of Christ has joined a lawsuit by 12 national denominations and several smaller religious organizations, trying to stop Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from making arrests inside places of worship. "We don’t take this step lightly, but this extreme action from the federal government challenges a foundation of our faith and threatens to shatter our consecrated spaces," said Rev. Terri Hord Owens, General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
