Description
A 19-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into a deadly shooting in Anderson.
According to a release from the Anderson Police Department, on Sunday, Feb. 2, APD detectives began an investigation into the shooting death of 26-year-old Dayla Swain of Anderson. The shooting happened in the 1500 block of South Madison Avenue in Anderson.
After collaborating with other agencies, APD detectives traveled to Wisconsin to speak with the Milwaukee Police Department and U.S. Marshals after obtaining multiple search and arrest warrants during the investigation.
This led police to arrest 19-year-old Rashawn Darrius Samuels, who was identified as the primary suspect in the shooting. Samuels reportedly had multiple felony warrants out for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
