Description
The Marion Police Department is now using trading cards to connect with kids in the community and humanize officers. Every officer on the force has his or her own cards, even the K-9 officers.
"The dogs are some of the favorites,” said 14-year-old Carter Beck, thumbing through a stack of cards. “It’s a cool one of the SWAT team there."
The cards help personalize the people behind the badge. Each officer got to choose their pose for the photograph on the front. The back of the card lists a brief biography, with the date they joined the force, badge number, police service history, any military service, hobbies and a favorite quote.
