Thursday was a night to honor a legend in basketball. Long before George McGinnis became a hall of famer following his professional playing career, he won a state championship at George Washington High School in Indianapolis. Thursday night, for the first time ever, the Continentals' basketball team played a game inside the gymnasium renamed after one of their own. The school renamed the gym for McGinnis after approval by the IPS Board of School Commissioners.
