Description
February is not only about Black history, but a chance to celebrate contributions and raise awareness of the community needs of African American Hoosiers. We’re keeping up with Dr. Russell Ledet, who works to blend all three of these objectives in central Indiana and beyond.
“Being the first Black Triple Board Residency here at Indiana University, it’s been having people around me who believe in me,” said Ledet, a triple board resident at IU’s School of Medicine.
His resume speaks for itself — he’s dynamic. 13News has covered Ledet’s work here on 13 News.
The Louisiana native and Tulane University School of Medicine graduate is in a five-year training program for pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Now, he’s three years into his residency at IU, but the fact he’s still going strong and expanding his level of impact in the community is extraordinary.
