An Anderson man died in a fire at his home Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters told our partners at the Herald-Bulletin they could see the fire in the 2500 block of Thayer Court from their fire station when they were dispatched around 1 p.m. Feb. 18. When they arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Anderson Fire Department Chief Dave Cravens told the Herald-Bulletin a young man was able to get out of the house and told first responders his grandfather was still inside the home. He believed the man was in the bathroom.
