IMPD is investigating after a woman was found dead with trauma on Indianapolis' near north side Sunday night. Around 8:45 p.m. Feb. 16, officers responding for a welfare check in the 1600 block of North Park Avenue, near East 16th Street and Central Avenue, found a woman with trauma inside a home, a department spokesperson said Monday morning. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity will be released by the Marion County Coroner's Office. Homicide detectives responded to begin an investigation, which remains ongoing.
