Description
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is warning the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Indianapolis Public Schools could face legal action if they do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
On Jan. 23, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey released a statement on social media, stating local police have no power to enforce federal immigration law and that they've never been asked to participate in immigration sweeps, nor do they plan to do so.
