Description
A jury found Orlando Mitchell guilty of murder and invasion of privacy, violating a protective order, in the deadly shooting of his ex-girlfriend outside a west Indianapolis day care on Sept. 16, 2022.
Krystal Walton had just dropped off her then-1-year-old son when she was shot and killed outside the Charity Child Care at 10th Street and Holmes Avenue. Mitchell is the child's father, and Walton had a protective order against Mitchell.
