On the flip side, Sara Rathner, with NerdWallet, said 90% of Americans do not consider credit card debt to be a deal-breaker. "Which is great news if you're single and you have credit card debt," Rathner said. For people ages 18-43, that 10% number goes up a little. For people ages 44-78, it slightly decreases. So, younger people are slightly more concerned about credit card debt.
