An Indianapolis man, who accused in the killing of a Marion County Sheriff's Office deputy while in custody, is standing trial for a killing that put him behind bars.
Orlando Mitchell is accused of shooting and killing the mother of his then-1-year-old son outside a day care in Indianapolis Sept. 16, 2022.
