A woman and man are recovering after being rescued from a house fire on Indy's near south side Friday morning. Around 2:30 a.m. Feb. 7, Indianapolis Fire Department crews responded to the blaze in the 1000 block of East Garfield Drive, just north of Garfield Park. According to IFD, a man and woman were outside on the rooftop when crews arrived on scene. Firefighters were able to rescue both people from the roof using a ladder.
