Description

Plainfield police officers are investigating a deadly crash Wednesday morning. According to a spokesperson with the Plainfield Police Department, an Avon police officer tried to stop a car near U.S. 40 and Ronald Reagan Parkway around 9:15 a.m. Feb. 5. Police said the driver did not stop and crashed with another car, which caught fire. Police confirmed one person died and two people in the struck car were injured. Police said Avon officers at the scene were also injured while helping people involved in the crash. The suspect is in custody.
