Description
The Houston Fire Department's Airport Rescue Firefighters were called to George Bush Intercontinental Airport Sunday morning after a departing United Airlines flight called off its takeoff due to an engine issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. According to United Airlines, the pilot of Flight 1382, an Airbus A319 on its way to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, stopped the takeoff around 8:35 a.m. after getting an engine warning. The aircraft remained on the runway as passengers were safely evacuated using the inflatable slides and stairs before being bused to the terminal.
