Crews are investigating after a vacant house fire on Indianapolis' near east side early Sunday morning. Heavy fire was reported at 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 2 inside a vacant double residence in the 2900 block of East Michigan Street, near North Oxford Street and North Rural Street. Neighbors report squatters inside the building shortly before the fire broke out, IFD said.
